Rearing Cattle

We need protein live on. We eat animal meat in order to meat our animal protein. And it’s main source cow meat or beef especially in Muslim countries such as Bangladesh, Pakistan, India, Malaysia etc. Other countries can also develop their livestock and can meat their animal protein even earns foreign exchange by export it. We apply modern technology to develop cattle meat.
Characteristics of selecting cattle:
To select the appropriate cattle for this program is very important. If we don’t select the actual fleshy (meaty) cattle then our program will be bungle or mismanage. So we can meat animal protein of our country by improving actual livestock technology.
Selection of farm place and houses:
Low priced place and low labor cost are required.
The place should be apart from town or overcrowded locality.
It is apart from main road but must have very good communication.
The place should be opened.
Grassy field attach to the farm is required.
The place should be high so that rain water cannot be entered and deposit.
The place must be drained well.
The farm has to own road.
The supply of water and electricity should be well.
The house will be made scientifically.

Purchase and care of livestock:
Purchase of livestock:
This program depends on purchase of cattle. We have careful the following subjects when we purchase the cattle of the farm.
The cattle must be dieses free.
Their ages are in 2-3 years.
Their legs and body are long, head are large, and skins are loose and smooth.
The growth of hybrid cattle is very high.
The cattle of darkish red and black has very high demand than that of white.
Care of purchased cattle:
After purchasing cattle they have separate for seven days. In that time their cow dung has to examine so that has worms or not if worm represent then it has to vanish.
Cattle have to vaccinate of fits, wet and gland disease.
They have to bath regularly.
Their house will be dry, light and airy.
Their houses and surroundings are net and clean so that mosquitoes and house flies can’t carry.
Then they have to deliver balance diet.
The cattle don’t work at all. They take full rest.
Food and nutrition management:
70-75 % expenditure of livestock business is on food. So livestock farm or beef fetening business depends on the most use of food.
Food management of cattle:
Cattle have to feed 1% granule food and 2% scaled food of their body weight daily.
Granule foods are divided into two times a day equally.
The mixing of granule foods is all time equal.
If we feed them urea and dried molasses mixer then they become fleshy in a short time.
Urea and dried molasses mixing straw can’t feed them at a time.
They have to supply clean and fresh water.
Scaled food of cattle:
Scaled food can be divided into two Dried (i.e. straw, hay) and Wet (i.e. raw grass, silece) classes. Paddy is our main food. Straw is processed with urea and molasses to improve the quality.
Urea Molasses Straw (u. m. s.): Urea, molasses and straw mixer is called in brief U.M.S. This mixer is delivered to the cattle instead of dry straw. The ratio of straw, urea and molasses are 82:3:15.
The rules of procedure:
At first straw, urea, molasses and water are measured correctly.
Straw are cut into 8-10 cm long.
Then measured urea and molasses are mixed with water to make solution.
Then cutting straw are scattered on floor.
At last water, urea and molasses solution are mixed equally with straw to make U.M.U.
BE CAREFUL!
We have to careful so that the elements are correct with above ratio.
The mixer can’t use after 3 days.
